Bodega Viña Somoza is the essence of Galicia. Founded in the first third of the 20th century in A Rúa de Valdeorras, by Víctor Fernández, who managed to recover the original autochthonous vineyards, and preserved the essence that makes their wines unique. Two generations later, in the current Viña Somoza Bodegas y Viñedos S.L., it has opted to unite tradition and respect for careful work and well done, with the most important technical advances in production. Tradition and innovation This has made the winery a reference in the cultivation and production of wines that are currently recognized both in our country and abroad. More than 40 national and international awards make that, for years, our wines are recognized as one of the best godellos in Spain.
The vineyard is treated with exquisite care. It is controlled all year round, exhaustively analyzing the grape in its ripening cycle, for its collection at the precise moment. Special care is taken to transport it to the winery, in boxes of 15 kg., Its selection and immediate pressing to avoid early fermentation. All this, with the aim of ensuring the elegant and straw-colored flavor that characterizes its godellos.
It supervises, even pampers each of the production processes seeking perfection. Because the best wine from these wineries will always be prepared.
